If the fuel supply system of a diesel engine is not maintained regularly, any malfunction in any link can lead to poor fuel supply or engine failure to start, resulting in decreased power, increased fuel consumption, black smoke, and other conditions.

The fuel supply system of a diesel engine is divided into two parts: low pressure and high pressure. The low-pressure section includes the diesel tank, diesel coarse filter, electronic pump, fine filter, and low-pressure fuel pipe; The high-pressure part includes the fuel injection pump and governor, high-pressure fuel pipe, and fuel injector.

In actual use, regular maintenance and upkeep of the three major components of the diesel engine fuel supply system should be carried out to effectively ensure the normal and smooth operation of the diesel engine's oil circuit.

1、 Maintenance and upkeep of diesel engine fuel tank

Key points for refueling

Types of diesel used: 0, -10, -20 diesel.

To ensure the normal use of the machine, please purchase fuel from regular gas stations such as Sinopec and PetroChina. Using inferior diesel may cause engine failure.

Diesel should be used after settling for 48 hours.

Confirm the remaining capacity of fuel in the inspection tube on the side of the fuel tank, and add it if it is insufficient; Please do not smoke or use exposed lighting equipment during supply. This may cause a fuel fire and trigger a fire.
The fuel supply is completed, confirm that the fuel cap is tightly closed, and wipe off any leaked fuel. Failure to comply may result in fire or burns.

Do not modify the diesel tank and its position by yourself.

Regular discharge of pollutants

There is water and dirt settling at the bottom of the fuel tank, which can cause problems if they enter the oil circuit and need to be cleaned regularly.

Discharge time: every 100 hours

Place a fuel container under the drain plug at the bottom of the fuel tank, remove the drain plug, allow the fuel to flow out, remove any sediment from the tank, reinstall the drain plug, remove the fuel cap, and add new fuel.

Key points for refueling

When refueling, clean and pure diesel should be selected. When storing diesel on your own, it must be stored in a dedicated storage tank that is clean and rust free. Diesel should not be left for too long to avoid deterioration!

2、 Maintenance and upkeep of oil-water separators and filters

The use of oil-water separator

When draining the diesel sedimentation cup, the fuel tank must also be drained at the same time.

The sedimentation cup is drained every 50 hours.
The filter element must use the original Yangma filter element. Using counterfeit filter elements can cause oil circuit problems in the machine, leading to engine failure.

The use of low-quality diesel will cause the sedimentation cup to discharge pollutants, and the cleaning and replacement cycle of the filter element will be advanced.

When disassembling and assembling the inlet and outlet of the sedimentation cup, dust prevention treatment is required, otherwise it may cause oil circuit blockage and machine use problems.

Remove the pipelines from the oil outlet and inlet, clean them thoroughly, and reinstall them.

Maintenance of filter

This filter is integral and cannot be cleaned or reused. It needs to be replaced with a new one regularly.

Replacement time: Replace every 100 hours.

Replacement method: Rotate the filter cartridge in the direction of the arrow to remove it. Apply fuel to the O-ring on the bottom of the new filter cartridge. After reaching the contact position of the O-ring, rotate it 2/3 of a turn to tighten it.

Install a new filter. When there is air inside the filter, turn the key switch to the "on" position and wait for 20 to 30 seconds to remove the air

Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited during homework.

The fuel on each part should be wiped clean, otherwise it may cause a fire.

The filter element must use the original Yangma filter element. Using counterfeit or other brand filters can cause oil circuit problems in the machine, leading to engine failure.

3、 Maintenance and upkeep of fuel injectors

After prolonged use, the fuel injector may experience a decrease in fuel injection pressure and quality, and even malfunctions such as oil leakage and burning. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly inspect and maintain the fuel injectors:

Remove carbon deposits and clean. Remove the fuel injector from the engine body, take out the needle valve assembly, and store it in clean diesel for cleaning. If the needle valve is stuck, it needs to be replaced.

Check the fuel injection pressure and fuel injection status of the fuel injector. Fuel injectors with deteriorating work quality must be replaced with new ones and must not be used interchangeably.
